How long does a person wear braces?
Treatment plans vary from six to roughly 30 months. Simpler cases can be finished more quickly. The overall average orthodontic treatment time is roughly 24 months.
Are braces painful?
When a patient first receives braces they may experience some soreness for several hours after their appointment. This may last a few days for some patients, as their body adapts to the changes that are occurring within their mouth.

Is Clear Aligner orthodontic treatment suitable for adults?
Yes, Clear Aligner treatment is in fact designed only for adults. Treatment produces excellent results in a majority of adult cases.
How long does treatment with Clear Aligner take?
As with metallic braces, Clear Aligner aligners may take more or less time to have their desired effect depending on the position of your teeth. Treatment with Clear Aligner lasts 6-24 months.

Are ceramic brackets as effective as regular metal braces?
Functionally speaking, yes, ceramic brackets are as effective as their metallic counterparts however, as they are made of porcelain, they tend to fracture more easily

Why retainers?
After your orthodontic treatment is finished, and your braces are removed, you will need retainers to hold your teeth in their new positions.
For how long do I need to wear retainers?
It takes time for the bone and all the tissues around your teeth to organise and therefore it is necessary to use retainers until your bite stabilises. In the first month after the braces are removed, the risk of relapse is very high.
Do I have to Wear Them All the Time?
Doctor will prescribe the retention plan that is best for you. Some retainers are used full-time for the first 6 months; after that, the retainers are worn only at night, for a few years. Other retainers are worn full-time for about a week, and solely at night thereafter. Fixed retainers are normally kept in place for 2 years.
What is a fixed retainer?
Permanent retainers consist of a thin wire that is properly adapted and bonded to the inside surfaces of the front 4 or 6 teeth. Because these are permanent, there is no chance of loosing them or forgetting to wear them.
